If you are looking for the ultimate in pheasant hunting, we have 952 private acres at our lodge and thousands of acres of leased land that is prime habitat for some of the best pheasant hunting in South Dakota. Our pheasant hunting habitat consists of CRP fields, corn fields, tree strips, creek bottoms, shelter belts, sloughs and weed patches.
One thousand acres around the lodge have been in the making for over 20 years, with almost every field having trees on one side and down the middle, and crops on half of the field and grass for seed or CRP grass on the other half. CRP fields also have food plot strips that we leave for the pheasants. All fields have water and bigger shelter belts close by for winter protection.
The other acres are leased from neighbors in the area who have CRP, crops and natural habitat. And lots of pheasants, of course! I doubt that you could find better pheasant hunting anywhere. Besides large numbers of wild pheasants, you'll also find sharptail grouse, prairie chickens and a few huns, and maybe an occasional coyote or two.
