Virus Filtering has been added to all of our customer accounts free of charge. Virus Filtering filters out any incoming email that has a virus attached to it and stops it from coming into your inbox. You will be sent an email message letting you know that an infected email message has been detected. The infected email message is "quarantined" in a temporary storage area for you. You have the ability to view these quarantined messages if you would like, or let them be deleted automatically when they are 2 weeks old.

To view your filtered messages:

• Go to webmail.santel.net. A link to this can be found in the left menu at www.santel.net.

• Login to the Webmail program. You must type in your email address and password (that you usually use to check your email) in the blanks provided. You can also choose your Login Type from the drop-down box shown. If you get into Webmail and it acts strangely, then your browser may not be compatible with that particular type. Go back to the Login page and pick a different Login Type.

• Click on E-Mail Filter from the Webmail menu.

• If suspicious e-mail messages have been quarantined into this space, you will see them listed here. You can just leave them, and they will automatically be deleted after 2 weeks, or you can click in the box beside the message to create a checkmark, and then click on Remove Messages.

Spam Filtering works in much the same way as Virus Filtering. It costs $1.00 per month per email account. Spam Filtering filters out any incoming email that looks like junk/spam email. Any spam email that it stops is stored for 2 weeks, at which time it will be automatically deleted.

To view your spam filtered message, follow the instructions above. The spam messages will be on the same page as the virus messages, but listed underneath.
