My name is Mrs. Schmit and I am the Kindergarten teacher at Sanborn Central. I live in rural Artesian with my husband Roger, daughter Ashley, and son Austin.
The Kindergarten class has been busy learning letters, numbers, and we are now learning how to write our numbers to 31. We also have been busy learning how to READ in our Kindergarten readers. We put on a Thanksgiving play this fall for our parents and grandparents because we had just finished studying about the First Thanksgiving in our Social Studies Book. The Kindergarten class enjoys "Centers" where they get to play educational games and learn the importance of sharing and working with other classmates. We celebrated the 100th day of school by bringing 100 items that we had to glue on a number grid for Math. The students have been learning how to count by tens to one hundred. We also did 100 exercises on the 100th minute of school with the other elementary students. We did many fun activities that pertained to the number 100. It was a fun day!!
Here is a picture of the Kindergarten class on the day we did our Thanksgiving play.
