My name is Cheryl Schmit and I have been teaching for 18 years. I graduated from Artesian High School and went on to Dakota State University for my teaching degree. I taught first grade for 7 years and have been teaching kindergarten every since. We have a lot of fun in kindergarten and learn many new things. Everyday is an adventure and like the banner in my classroom says, "School is Cool!"

I live on a farm in rural Artesian with my husband Roger and our two children. Ashley is in 6th grade and Austin is in 2nd grade. I enjoy taking walks and I also like to swim whenever I get the chance. I love to be outdoors and I consider myself an animal lover. I love all kinds of animals! I enjoy spending time with my family and going to their activities that they are involved in.
