MJ Aviation

The After School Gang took a field trip to MJ Aviation northeast of Letcher one afternoon. After watching a very informative 10 minute movie on aviation, the gang was taken on a walk-around tour by owners John and Marci O'Connell. They were able to see firsthand the restoration progress of an airplane in one of the hangars. They also got to sit in and look around both a passenger plane and a crop dusting plane. The gang was also treated to a snack of airplane cookies. After the tour, all kids decided they are planning a career in the aviation industry!

Garden Club

Below is a picture of Ray Gosmire attending one of the Garden Club meetings. Meetings are open to the public and free of charge.

Chess Club

Several kids took advantage of the Summer Chess Club to polish up their chess and checker playing skills.
