Second Grade Scrapbook - 2001-2002 Wanda Witch : October 30, 2001 We were reading the story Nate The Great in our reading class. It was a story about a detective who was trying to solve a case. To go along with the story the second graders had their own mystery to solve. "Wanda Witch" left us a note saying that she lost her broom somewhere in the school. Each day she left us a clue as to where the broom might be. On Tuesday the students received their final clue and found the broom. It was hiding in the gym. When they returned to the classroom they saw "Wanda" sitting in a chair in the corner of the room. When they went to see who it was, they were very surprised to find Mr. McCain all dressed up as a witch!! They had a fun time! Thanks to Mr. McCain for being such a good sport!!
