Mrs. Ogle's 3rd grade recently performed the play, "Finn McCool" to the 4th and 5th grade students. The play has 11 characters, so the class was split. Half performed in the 4th grade room and the rest went to the 5th grade room to present the play.
Finn McCool was written by May Lynch. The story takes place on a mountain in Ireland. Cuhullin, a giant, is out to get Finn. Una, Finn's wife, must find a way to get rid of Cuhullin without Finn or his pride getting hurt. This is a folktale that has been told many times.
We also watched the video, "Finn McCool" told by Catherine O'Hara. Then we compared how the video and the play were different and alike.
