Philosophy of Homework
The English classes are divided into three parts: literature, grammar, and spelling/vocabulary. The spelling/vocabulary that the classes are studying go along with the literature they are reading. Tests will be taken after each literature unit, and spelling/vocabulary tests are weekly or bi-weekly. Study guides will be used when appropriate. While there is time in class to study and work on assignments, students will be expected to study outside of class.

Grading Policy
I grade on total points. Daily work is 40% and tests are 60% of the final grade. Assignments are worth varied number of paoints. The larger the assignment, the more points it is worth. I post grades to the Parent Portal on Thursday afternoons.
