Pastor F. Holter donated the land to the congregation and a small building was moved onto the ten acre tract. This was part of a government claim taken up by the pastor at a cost of $3.00 for 160 acres. In the summer of 1893 a new and larger parsonage was built. In 1918, a more modern home was also built for the pastor. The present parsonage was built in 1962.
In June 1902, a tornado destroyed the small church. However, the members of the church quickly rebuilt. Their new church was dedicated on November 16 that same year. This church was used until 1929 when the current brick church was erected.
