Welcome to Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity! Our mission is to provide simple, decent, affordable housing for responsible families in Davison and Hanson counties.

As we raise funds for another home, we are beginning “A Brush With Kindness” projects. See the completion of our first home on the photo page. We are hoping to paint and provide minor exterior repair to three more homes in the summer of 2011.

Established in March 2001, Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity completed its first home in January 2003, our second home in 2005, and the third home in 2009.

We are affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International, which has built more than 400,000 homes for 2 million people around the world since its founding in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller. Over 1,500 affiliates in the U.S. and 550 International affiliates are now at work in 87 countries and in all 50 United States. South Dakota's 14 affiliates alone have built nearly 200 homes!

We need your support, and we invite you to partner with us! Your time, talents, abilities, and resources can help us make a difference! We are currently seeking volunteers to serve on our board and our committees, to assist us with construction, or to serve in other ways. Your financial contributions and donations of land, building materials, and equipment are also welcomed.
