What to Wear

Here are a few suggestions that may help you choose the BEST clothes to wear in your senior photograph session.

Choose a variety of outfits.  It is best to choose both casual and some formal outfits.
Your face is the focal point of your photographs.  Long sleeve solids and subtle prints are usually the mot flattering.
Medium to dark clothes look best on dark backgrounds.
Medium to light colors look the best on lighter colored backgrounds.
Earth tones are best for outdoor photos.
Traditional styles will stand the test of time and keep your photograph looking fresh for years to come.
Your shoes will show in some photographs therefore you should include shoes for each outfit that you plan to wear.
Busy patterns and loud colors can be distracting.  Avoid large and bold patterns that might tend to draw attention away from your face.

Props can help to show your personality and record the types of activities that you are involved in.  Be sure to bring some of your own props to your session.  The following may be helpful:

Musical Instrument
Letter Jacket
Uniform
Hats
Sports Equipment
Stuffed animals
Sunglasses
Pets

Some Final Suggestions:

Simplicity is the key to successful photographs
Long sleeve dresses and shirts are good choices.
Coordinate your outfit from head to toe.
Darker clothes minimize body size.
Keep the tonal range of clothing in the same group.
