Prairie View Care Center uses the Bus to take the residents on picnics, out for meals, to special events at other nursing homes, to school events and for rides in the country.

The Bus is a public transit service that goes to Wess. Springs, Mitchell & Huron.

• If you need to go to the doctor, Ride the Bus.
• If you need to pick-up medicine, Ride the Bus.
• Want to visit someone, like a friend, relative or shut-in, Ride the Bus.
• If don't have a car or don't like driving in the bigger towns, Ride the Bus.
• Just want to get out, Ride the Bus.
• If you want to do some shopping for a special occassion and don't want someone seeing what you get, Ride the Bus.

I have put the Bus schedule below and if you know of anyone that might like to ride, tell them about our service in Sanborn County.

If you live in a different county or town, check into it, you may have a bus or van in your area that provides these services. The ones that provide these services are always willing to help you, so give them a call and see what they can do to help you or a loved one.

If you wish to ride the bus, the Contact Person in your area will have to know the day prior to your riding.

  Visit at Prairie View Care Center, if you wish.
  Pick up in Letcher 8:30 - Artesian 9:00 - Forestburg 9:30 - back to Woonsocket about 10:00.

• TUESDAY AFTERNOON - WESSINGTON SPRINGS
  Pick up in Artesian 12:30 - Letcher 12:55 - Forestburg 1:15 - Woonsocket 1:40.

• WEDNESDAY - MITCHELL
  Pick up in Woonsocket 9:00 - Forestburg 9:30 - Artesian 9:50 - Letcher 10:40.

• THURSDAY - HURON
  Pick up in Letcher 9:00 - Artesian 9:30 - Forestburg 10:00 - Woonsocket 10:40.

If you are planning to eat at the Senior Citizens Center in Mitchell, they have to know in advance, so PLEASE CALL the CONTACT PERSON in your area or the AUDITOR'S OFFICE (796-4513) by 8:30 a.m. on the Wednesday that you are planning to go and give them your name.

Suggested FARE IS $2.00 PER PERSON, if you wish to donate more than this, it will be appreciated and will help us reach our goal that is set by the State each year.
